After a very rainy sunday i had my first office day as an intern in the MSDSP office of the Aga Khan Foundation. Due to this, i just can send you some special features i could observe in Tajikistans capital Dushanbe by now:
Wallpapers in Tajikistan are often very eloborately producedOften golden colored frescos decorate the walls
I had the personal luck of soft towels and a cute pillow
The shower seemed like a chinese wellness temple
I had to ask the receptionist how to turn it on…seriously!
People eat at tea houses. Often widley open constructed buildings with wooden roof frescos in all colors of the rainbow!
Inside the tea houses, there are big saloons, often rentable for weddings etc.
(sorry, just a mobile snapshot…)
People sit at a so called TAPTSCHAN for dinner, resting and napping…NICE IDEA!
A soup of self made noodles, with beef, potatos, carrots and spices like pepper and caraway. Of course served with tea and bread
There is beer in Dushanbe. Where you find beer a german bar cannot be far…
My favorite moment was seeing these two guys! Seems that bricks can fly in Tajikistan:
Tomorrow i’ll drive to Khorog, the biggest city in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) and my hometown at the foot of the pamir mountains!
I’m excited! Hope to present you some nice photos on the next post!
