… so they say. So I’ll spare mine and let the images talk. Just adding some small comments on the places and actions seen.

The terrain is only accessible by Jeep, or by foot of course. But we didn’t want to hike all the way to the forest near Chat Tupay. So we drove the first 60 of 80 KM.

On the first 10 KM you’ll walk beside the Pshart river and have to cross it about 12 times…Its not deep. To save some time trekking sandals are highly recommended!

This is where we spend the first night. Sufficient wood and a spectacular mountain view. We even could hear and see some small avalanches coming down from the top of that peak. But no worries, its too far away too be dangerous.

One of the main reasons we did that hike was this crashed airplane. We do not know much about it yet. Beside the fact that it crashed during soviet times, that it was a biplane and …that it looks amazing.

“Down” at 3000 m.a.s.l. I spent my last night in the Bartang underneath an incredible clear sky, counting the stars of the milky way!
